No picture today.

I've had a pretty good first week at Abuelo's so far.
Monday I had to learn the starters and lunch specials.
Tuesday I had to learn the dinner combinations and house specialties.
Wednesday I had to learn the alcoholic beverages.
Tomorrow I'll take a test on the alcohol and then get a schedule for next week. :)

Tonight I made Devin and I turkey club sandwiches, they were pretty good. We've been trying to eat out less.

I've been feeling really unmotivated towards school and housework. I think I'm going to get a really good night's sleep tonight so I can finally buckle down on them tomorrow since I have a really short day at work.

Only a week into this blog and I already missed two days! D: Well.. Friday was my last day at Chick-Fil-A. :) I felt immensely relieved walking out. Devin and I had an AMAZING Friday night to celebrate.

Yesterday, my friend Jake came up from San Antonio for Austin City Limits. It was good to see him and catch up. Unfortunately, we went out to dinner and my car got towed but my parents were able to help me get it back and now it's all good. :)

Today, I went to school and FINALLY got started on studying. I've been really procrastinating and finding it hard to get motivated to study for my classes but I think I'm going to try to make it a habit to go to ACC for at least one hour every day for the next 21 days. One hour a day is the amount of time I would normally spend watching TV or messing around on StumbleUpon. When I get done studying I feel smarter and accomplished, so I think it's well worth it to give up some of my downtime.

Today I cleaned out my closet and gave away all of my Chick-Fil-A Clothing. :) I have been so happy to think about leaving that these last two weeks have inched by, and now I can hardly believe tomorrow is really my LAST DAY!!

I had an exit interview with Ken and Jeremy. It went well. The main reason I was leaving, they seem determined to make right. Also, I found out I have vacation days I'll get paid for as well. :)

Tomorrow, I'm going to make it through my last day. I'm going to take the training DVD as well as the rest of my stuff up there.

Yesterday I said I would finish up my laundry so I can sort through all the CFA clothes and give them away, get my Food Handlers Certificate && call Abuelos to find out about orientation Monday, go to the gym, and get some Business Ethics done.

Yep, I did almost everything. :) I have one load left of laundry, I am in possession of my food handler's certificate (It was SO boring!), I have orientation at 2:30 PM on Monday for Abuelos, I ran 1 mile at the gym, and I didn't get business ETHICS done, but I did start Small Business Management. :) It's nice to know I can do the things I set my mind to.

Tomorrow I work from 7:30 to 4:30. I'm going to take my small business management book with me and after work, I'll go to ACC and study. I also need to remember to grab a fry box to put my clothes in so I can come home and sort them. At school, I hope to at least get through chapter 3 and then Friday finish up chapters 4 and 5 before taking exam #1. :)

So why is there a picture of Devin on today's post? Because when I came home, he got really excited and said "you're home! and you have pipe cleaners! It's like Christmas morning!" :) It made me feel really happy. I wanted to take a nice smiley picture of him, but this is what he gave me. I take delight in the silly side of him, too.

Well. It's been a good Wednesday. I hope it's a good Thursday as well.

Today I had lots of things to be thankful for. :) I convinced someone at work to take some of my hours from today, so I got to spend more time with Devin.
Tonight was the last night I will EVER close at Chick-Fil-A Ben White. :D Woot woot!
I managed to find time to clean my apartment AND get my TABC Certification for my new job at Abuelos.
Tomorrow, I intend to finish up my laundry so I can sort through all the CFA clothes and give them away, get my Food Handlers Certificate && call Abuelos to find out about orientation Monday, go to the gym, and get some Business Ethics done.

Anyways, today, the thing I took delight in was my not-so-little kitty, Dante. :)
Sometimes I have the worst days, but when he decides to be nice, it's all okay. There's nothing like a nice, purring kitty to lay on you.

You might ask why I would find delight in a shiny kitchen sink of all things.
Because for the first time in a while, I wasn't the one to make it that way. <3
When I left my apartment was pretty messy and Devin cleaned up while I was at work.

Remember in elementary school we had to do acrostics with our names?

I would be Daring Dawn or Disastrous Dawn or even Ditzy Dawn.
I want to be Delighted Dawn.

Delighted means to derive great pleasure or joy from something. I want to find delight in every day.

Today, Devin and I drove to Kerrville to see his Dad, Luke, and Calee. :)

I downloaded a doodle app for the iPhone and Calee drew this picture of her, Devin, and Luke on my iPhone. :) It makes me really happy that Devin got to see his siblings because they so clearly love him and they rarely get to see him.
